Please welcome....

Raylie! My enthusiastic 10 year old is bursting forth into the blogging realm with a brain child to combine her baking escapades with blogging.  Not an entirely new formula, but I think her perspective is fresh and unique and spunky as only Raylie can be.  So, ladies and gentlemen, please sit back, relax, and enjoy this tantalizing tidbit of epicurean adventure brought to you by the lovely AND talented, Raylie Madison.

I had two of my best Osan friends over for a fun day of cupcake baking.  

Kai-li is very energetic and hilarious. we met on my first day of school when she asked me if I wanted to come and sit with her at lunch. We have a lot of things in common such as we both like crocheting, making things out of duck tape, baking CUPCAKES, drawing, reading, and being in Mrs.miller's classroom.

Ty'asja is very very very energetic and likes to have the latest fashions on all the time. We met on my first day of school because she was my helper. We both like crocheting, baking, recess, cupcakes, reading, and social studies. But what we all have in common is we all had sooo much fun baking!     

Since it was close to Valentine's day, we decided to make lucious and scrumptious red velvet cupcakes, with chunky, delicious cookie dough frosting. We also made a version of thin mint girl scout cookies, but they were even better..... especially when we ate them right fresh out of the oven.  Chocolate cookies with a layer of minty frosting-- mmmm, they melted in our mouthes.  Our plan was to divide the treats up evenly and take them home to enjoy, but quite a few didn't even make it onto the plate!

We all took turns in the baking process, putting ingredients in, mixing, and filling in the cupcake trays.  The ingredients were not the only thing that was going into the batter but our sweet friendship, funny things about that school day, laughter, and kindness. After the batter was finished we popped the cupcakes in the oven and made the frosting while they were cooking. When the cupcakes were done, it wasn't only the cupcakes that came out but the fun of today and our friendships that had sprouted so quickly, and that we could be there together baking.

To sum it up it was a great time that we spent together baking.  It was fun baking treats and I know that our friendships will forever stay sweet as cupcakes.  I know that this will not be the last time that we will bake something up, and hope that it will be as sweet as this time!!!
